There are several natural parks in the area, where the possibilities for walking, picnicking and observing the wildlife are virtually limitless.

Road access is excellent considering the untouched nature of the region. The cave is about 1½ hours from Granada airport and around 2 hours from Alicante and Murcia San Javier airports  the majority of the route being by dual carriageway.
