The climate of the area is mild and very sunny, even in Winter. The day temperature from November to February, generally lies between 16ºC and 20ºC. Night temperatures at this time are around 13ºC-14ºC. The rest of the year daytime temps fluctuate between 23ºC and 30ºC, the proximity of the sea preventing the coast from being affected by the more extreme inland temperatures of Andalucia.

Just sixteen kilometres from the beach house and at 500 metres above sea-level, overlooking the coast and the Straits of Gibralter, is Casares. It's a traditional, white village in a rugged mountain setting with sweeping views. 
A tiny cottage in the centre of the town is available for one or two persons seeking an alternative type of holiday.
